It’s always so exciting to start a new journal, especially the first page of a TRAVEL journal to FRANCE no less. It was dawn as our plane slowly descended for arrival at Charles De
Gualle Airport in Paris. The way the rising sun caught the mists and clouds totally enthralled me, looking for all the world like a Monet landscape. Voile. Planes give one such an interesting perspective – that “looking down” view.
Once we were checked in and could hit the streets, just the opposite happened. We found ourselves looking up, and up. All the beautiful old buildings, windows and architectural details. Wow! We were in the Bastille area and I liked the way this famous monument could be seen just peeking over the treetops.
These were good reminders to me that there are always a variety of ways to view a subject and to keep things interesting.
