Learning the Italic Script, letter by letter, day by day

During this Covid 19 Sheltering in Place I’ve enjoyed offering an opportunity for anyone who is interested to learn the italic script. It’s been so rewarding to watch online friends from early teens to their 90’s, not only catch the excitement of creating beautiful letters but also of learning a brand new skill. Here is an exemplar of the entire Italic alphabet in Majuscule & Minuscule, scripted with a Pilot 2.4mm Parallel Pen. Once downloaded and printed (see PDF button above) the sizing will be a little smaller, but you can enlarge on your printer if you want it to be the exact size. Have fun everyone. Let’s make writing beautiful again!!

Thank you Ruth for helping me and so many others get through these long days of “shelter in Place” also for proving to me that yes, I can do this. It has been fun seeing your smiling face daily and seeing Jax again.

Thank you, Ruth, for the generous gift of your time to teach calligraphy. It has been something I’ve wanted to spend time learning, and you made it happen.

Your gift of teaching artistic italic lettering has been insightful as well as an inspiration.
The importance of nib width. The historical background and value of each letter has made an ‘indelible’ impression !

    You brighten our lives !

    Thank You,
    Beth
